They have a faithful render of the original "box" but no manual? I don't see it in goodies either. Did I miss it or did they not include it? I remember the story in the manual really set the mood and gave a little background on what classes and races.

Seeing the nice sense of detail that they have put in the rendered box, in future updates they could insert ingame a pdf reader detailed in the same vein, with frames simulating an old book, or something similar to that menu in bard´s tale 2004.

Yeah, I'm well aware they're avail elsewhere. Just perplexed why they're not avail as part of the game.
