Game keeps giving 'fatal error' in the fights here and I cannot progress any longer as a result. The fight is unavoidable.

Is it with those armed guards?

You might try a few things to get by this...

Add/remove some geer on some of your toons
Add/Remove masteries
Switch out some party members (especially anyone who has a passive "start of round" or "fight" ability such as a bard who drinks).

Switch out party members okay will give that a try. I cannot take the bard out it is Melody who is my main character. Well I never tried anyway. Thanks for the tip.

Well in the previous character it was those armoured guards with shields but this new reroll I chose a skill wrong and rerolled I am stuck in the very beginning fight as you zone into Baedish Lowlands so I cannot avoid it as I could have those guards on the left further down the stairs.

It did not work I tried all your suggestions. Very sad. Hope they fix it soon.


Also tried full screen and dropped setting to medium nothing worked still got fatal error. Give up on this game.

I am sorry those didn't work. It is a shame you and many others will end up missing out on a fantastically fun and epic adventure. I'm kind of sad for inXile that they dropped the ball like this at the goal line. It is a shame really because this is the kind of game that really scratches my itch and it is doubtful anyone would want to put more $ towards producing a game like BT4.

Sad to report new patch made no difference. Still getting a fatal error.

This fixed this but not sure how far it will work. I went back to a much earlier save before I went to the Baedish Lowlands and then I redid the Baedish Lowlands from the time you first enter it and the fight and this time I was able to move past the fight. Hopefully I do not encounter another fatal error further down the area.

They really need to fix this game it is in an appaling state.

64 hours in and one (1) crash so far. Seems pretty stable to me.

Look at how badly it is rated on steam. Most of the complaints are about bugs.

It is not that I dislike the game I love it but the bugs are driving me potty. It is absolutely horrible to come across these bugs and they are game stopping ones when you want to play.
