Hello all,
7th Guest or 11th Hour do not have subtitles for deaf. In the game's description list that mentioned language, it said "Audio and text: English". If it doesn't have subtitles, it should not say "text".

I'm just saying that GOG.com needs to provide better description on what actually have subtitles or not for deaf customers before they buy.

My deaf friend can't get his game to display subtitles. There was no options to turn on subtitles.

Thanks, THartmann9374

7th Guest does not have subtitles at all; it was not part of the original game.

There is text in the game, and that text is in English, thus "Text: English" is on the game's description and GOG was right to put it there. If you can't read English, then you can't read that text in the game. Similarly, if you aren't able to understand spoken English ("Audio: English"), you can't understand the spoken sounds in the game.

I don't know if GOG adds some kind of "subtitles" label to games. I suspect not, but I haven't watched for it so I don't know.

Thanks for your explanation about "text". It would be nice if GOG puts subtitles or not on all of games like Amazon puts subtitles or CC on movies.
The game does not include subtitles but the script of the game is included in the goodies. Won't solve the problem for a deaf person, but it's very helpful for people like me for whom English is not their first language and even though they understand most of it sometimes miss some words or sentences.

The new 25th Anniversary Edition of the game includes Deaf and Hard of Hearing (SDH) subtitles in many languages.
