this is prob a very noob question buon start up of 11th guest when it asks you to choose brightnes or choose x i see no x, and nothing works to move the game on? is it me or is this a common fault?

The X is located in one of the skulls eyes, you need to adjust your monitors brightness levels until you can see it, or just mouse over all of them until you find it if you don't want to change your settings (I'm sure it's the one on the right)..
