Ok, I am an old player with no intelligence, well, that isn't always true\, but right now it is. I tried to start 11th hour and when I get to the intro screen I get the choices that I am supposed to. When I click the play game I get a picture of three or four skulls and a little poem that tells me to hit "X" and I guess the game is supposed to start. Mine doesn't. I have tried starting the game "In The Sandbox", what ever that is, and I have tried starting in "Playing Out Of The Sandbox", and neither work. So, what am I doing wrong, except for trying to play the game:)

You need to left click on the 'X' symbol in the skulls left eye socket, the skull on the very right has an 'X' and a 'I' in each of its respective eye sockets which make XI (eleven) when put together. The poem is referring to the brightness of the screen. It's basically saying adjust your monitors brightness until you can just see the 'X' and then click 'X' to continue.

This ambiguity is a good sign of things to come, like "Winter coat worn for a mixer?" obviously means go to the library and shuffle some books around, but this logic is partly why I love this game!

Do I say thank you or just refuse to answer this post, well, I can't do that now can I. I do wish you a very joyful Thank You thou. Never thought of that, clicking the eye. I played this game when it first came out, I just marked about how old I am, and I found it fascinating. Of course since then I forgot all about it until I saw it on GOG. It really is a thrill to skip back into my past. Love it! Again, thanks for the "HINT".
