I downloaded the setup file separately and installed it like that which seemed to do the trick.
Importing the game into Galaxy afterwards made it crash again.

So I uninstalled again and installed again.
The game plays but of course there are no Galaxy achievements, obviously (if there are).

System: Win10

And suddenly it does install, after the fourth attempt.
