Hi all, if you haven't tried it yet, I humbly suggest that you try WinTex for Under a Killing Moon.

You can get it at the following link:

https://github.com/ElakaSnarne/WinTex/tree/main/Binary

Just download the exe file and place it in your UAKM directory and double click on it. Done.

Now then, what does it do? The author of the program has essentially remastered the levels for
your viewing enjoyment. I have been messing around with it for a while and it seems to work pretty well.
No more screen tearing, no more awkward controls. It allows usage of wasd + mouse. Your midi sound will still
work too.

I'm running windows 10 / 64 bit.

I've included a screenshot of Tex's office. (shrunk for size, the original resolution is 1920x1080)

Enjoy

Konablast.

Very playable.

Can also rebind the controls to others keys. Attempting to use controller currently makes it lock up for me although wouldn't be difficult to bind keys to the controller and use it just fine.

Enabling fullscreen causes fail on next game start. Can delete registry key "Access Software" to fix that issue of no longer being able to start: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Access Software. I have to play windowed. Minor issue.

Mouse has some mapping and dual pointer issue in the menu triggered by something currently unknown but it looks like from trying different resolutions. Had to ALT+F4 and start it again. Minor issue.

Some transisitions cause the mouse to get lost needing ALT+TAB to fix it. Minor issue.

Just started trying this now. So far, it's quite impressive. The visuals are so much cleaner, sharper, everything feels smoother and responsive! Major kudos to the creator of this!

I will say though that it doesn't like Alt + Tabbing very much. The buttons become small and blurred and the window is restricted to only a corner portion of the screen.

That's odd. I didn't have that issue. ALT+TAB'd a lot. There's probably something that can affect it.

Maybe if you were able to have the game fullscreen? I had it windowed. Fullscreen can negatively affect ALT+TAB which is one reason why newer Windows forces all games to be borderless window and acts weird at times with older games that are exclusive fullscreen.

Yeah, I tend to have it in fullscreen. It can be okay, but I have noticed a bit of a glitch where the mouse gets stuck at the top of the screen, or in an invisible box in the top left corner. Pressing the Windows key and clicking back on the game seems to resolve it.
