Hey there,
I saw the Tex Murphy series 50% off this week-end, then I remembered how much I enjoyed Under a Killing Moon years ago ! I was about to buy it when I saw "Compatible with : Windows XP, Windows Vista (32 & 64 bit)" ! Won't it run under Windows 7 64 bits ?
I hope I will get an answer before the promo is over.
Thanks.

EDIT Also, I saw that the two first episodes of the serie (Mean Streets and Martian Memorandum) ARE compatible with Win 7 64 bits (and I fear this might answer my first question, but I still hope...). Question is : the average user rating seems to be 1 star below the 3 other episodes ? So are the first two episodes worth the try ?

Hi zegweg!
"Under A Killing Moon" runs in a Windows 7 (64 bit) normally. Yesterday I played it.
First two games in series just older, and they gameplay is different from full motion video series (UAKM, PD and Overseer). That is why rating is low. Decide yourself.

The series really took off after UAKM due to the tehcnological addition of 'full 3D enviornment' and FMV cutsceens. It is OK to start at UAKM as the story is pretty well standalone, but completists will want the first two games as well.

Check wikipedia for further on them to see if they meet your fancy. For the promo price, you really can't go wrong. The low ratings are probably from folks that plaed the last three and expected the first two games to be similar.

In the end, the promo makes the whole series well worth the cost.
Thanks to both of you. I'm glad UaKM runs under Win 7 and I think I'll give their chance to the first two episodes. After all, it's only 3 bucks !
