things i have done
mailed off the credit card application
got some batteries
found out the thief has, green eyes, anchor tattoo, norm, ab- blood, Caucasian, size 14 feet.

And thats pretty much it. I put all the details i have in my computer but there are still 100+ matches.

Aha, you're missing his hair colour. Search thoroughly around the back door of Rook's pawn shop. You'll find an item you missed.

on day 2 im stuck in that guys study trying to open his safe.

I have found a note with a birthday on and tried multiple combinations of that but i cant seem to find the key to open the safe and i have exhausted every other avenue of investigation.

Any advice?

You know, if you just save your game, check the hintsystem in the game to figure out what to do, then reload the save from before you looked at the hints, you won't need to log on to gog.com to ask in the forums every time you get stuck ;)

On topic however, you need to make a visit to one Melahn Tode. Try checking the magazines near the door, there might be something hiding underneath them.
