Hi! So I recently completed Overseer, meaning I finally finished the original games. (I can't wait to play Tesla Effect, but I have too much work to do at the moment to start it soon). I did listen to the radio theater though, which was great.
I had a few questions about the books. I know there are three out now, with two more on the way.
Regarding the books out now, all three of them seem to be adaptations of the games. In general, I don't read adaptations of things unless there's a ton of new story or anything in them. Are the three books out now pretty much general adaptations of the game's script (say, similar to going and buying the novel version of a new Star Wars movie) or do they have major new plot elements or even new sub-plots? Would anyone recommend reading them even if they aren't a super-hardcore fan? Is it worth reading the Tesla Effect book just to see whatever ending will be continued on in the final book?
The next question is in regards to the two books yet to be released. I've heard that the book coming out this year will be set between TPD and Tesla Effect. Does anyone know any more about the book, like it's relation to the plot of Overseer, the Radio Theater, or Tesla Effect? Would it be better to read the book before playing Telsa Effect (I ask because it sounds like Tesla Effect might not go into a ton of detail about what happened to Tex in the past 7 years, so I'm assuming it wouldn't ruin the surprise, but then again I haven't played Tesla Effect and am avoiding spoilers so I'm not actually sure what is going on in the game).
Lastly, anyone know any more info about the final novel? I figure nobody does except Aaron Conners at this point, but I thought I'd check anyway.
