Hello all.

I've been able to get Overseer to run perfectly fine under Windows 7, but I'd actually like to have the game running in windowed mode instead of being forced to play the game fullscreen. The usual method of adding "Fullscreen=0" and "AllowWindowedMode=1" to the .ini files haven't produced any results. Has anyone had any success doing this?

what about the config panel in overseer, there are several windows sizes there & display 2 display sizes to use. I usually play 800x600 windowed

The config panel in Overseer doesn't have an option for windowed mode or fullscreen. All settings for me have lead to the game playing in fullscreen, even running the resolution at 800 X 600 and scaling down the window size.
Did anybody ever find a solution for this? I really don't like playing it all stretched out and squashed looking. I'd rather play in a window and have it look normal.

+1 - Going through the Tex adventures before starting Tesla Effect and would love to play Overseer in Windowed mode.

Anyone come up with a solution to this?

I am not aware of a way to get this game to run in Windows mode, but most graphics drivers have a built in option to add black bars on the sides instead of 'squashing', what graphics card do you have?

I ended up not finding a great solution for it. There was an application that I found that would cause it to run in a "seamless window" (aka no borders around the screen). Basically you had to give it coordinates for the upper-left corner of the window and I could not get it to work correctly. Did the same with Alpha Centauri, no matter what I tried the window was either too high or too low on the screen and I couldn't get it to just "fit." So I stopped trying and just played it through using Full Screen.

If anyone is interested, I can find the application I downloaded and link it here in case anyone wants to try and fool around with it.
