Hi everyone, I'm so sorry to post this topic as I see there are many.
I purchased Overseer from Gog a while ago and it worked just fine up until the game interface loaded. Then as I was examining stuff in Tex's office, the game locked up. I can't even get out with CTRL+ALT+DELETE. This happens constantly, and I must hard reboot each time. I've done a lot of research, but haven't found anything that fixed the issue. I'm running Windows XP home. I have an Nvdia Quadro NVS 160M video card. I'm not having any sound issues (though the voiceovers during the game are slightly quieter than the video). I'd really like to play this game as I really enjoyed the last two. I really hope you guys can help. Again I'm sorry for yet another crash topic. If you need any more information about my computer please let me know. I'm not entirely computer savy, but I do alright.
Thanks everyone.
Hello!
I have almost the same problem as the above poster, although i use Win 7. It randomly freezes after about 10 min of gameplay.

have you got dual video cards, overseer also does not dual core .You will need to disable one card.
I didn't buy gog version so I don't know whether they included image.cfg file to diasable core when overseer.exe starts. have a look in the game folder. Midi also is muted on purpose so don't change it in the config panel.
let me know

I don't think they included anything of the sort. I am not even sure if it's possible to change processor affinity - my attempts to go to the task manager and switch to one core for Overseer.exe always result in an error of some sort.

not sure what system you are running but image.cfg is downloadable & you can assign it to overseer, win 7 - task bar is ctrl shift esc to get to task bar
