I think I turned down this book way, way, way earlier in the game... and now I can't seem to find a dialog path with Rook to be able to buy it again.

Haven't had much luck Googling this... all walkthroughs assume you bought it the moment it was first offered to you. I'm eight chapters into the game and need to translate a letter... did I box myself into an unwinnable state?

did you ask clint first about Yucatec language, the subject won't appear in rook questions until you have .

plumgas: did you ask clint first about Yucatec language, the subject won't appear in rook questions until you have .
And I think you must show the letter to Louie (Brew&Stew) first, he leads you to Clint, then to Rook.

You don't actually need to translate the letters. I played through the game without translating them because I couldn't figure out how lol :D
