I've been searching through the install directory for the PD manual, but no dice. It's not really a huge deal since the engine's almost identical to UaKM, but it's kind of a bummer. '90s game manuals were often (a) big and (b) fun to read. :)
Is it missing for legal reasons, like in-world fiction written by a third party, or something?

Go into your "My Account" and click on the game name and one of the download choices should be the manual.

Nope! Soundtrack and Avatars only.

Yeah, checked there first. :) Thanks, though.

Is there a zip file or folder that can be opened to see if the manual is part of it?

Nope. I was hoping it might have been hiding in the *.GOG virtual CDs that PD thinks are a six-CD changer (20-30 MB .ISOs), but no luck there either. I think it's just not there.
The installer creates the usual Start Menu structure under Windows, but the only thing under "Documents" is a link to the readme.

There must be something odd about that manual. At different times I've got two sets of CDs from two different sources and both were missing manuals... Most eBay auctions don't seem to have it as well (not even talking about those auctions for only three CDs). It's almost like a lot of copies were distributed without the manual in the first place.
