Hello all,
I just finished off Under a Killing Moon, and it was such a great game, I immediately started up Pandora Directive.
However, as the game starts it asks me which mode I'd like to play?
Entertainment (recommended), or adventure (NOT recommended at first playthrough).
Well, I'm only sure, that I will not have the time to play it through twice, but I also want an entertaining game, and not just and endless string of obscure and frustrating puzzles.

So, this question goes to the veterans out there: what do you suggest?
I'm no stranger to the adventure genre, basically I've been brought up by Lucasarts games, so puzzle solving is not a problem for me, but getting stuck and killed over and over again will make me uninstall the game very fast.
I would say go for entertainment. You still have the multipe endigs and stories.
First playthrough; Entertainment

Second or more playthroughs; Gameplay (or whatever it was called)
You get somewhat different choices in the two modes, as well as more endings in the harder one, depending on your choices during the game, but I recommend knowing the game before you try the harder mode, as it can be frustrating at times :p

the gamer mode all the puzzles are timed, you do get a few extra puzzles with gamer mode but you can't use the help code if you are stuck, start the gamer mode if you don't like it you can change to entainment mode during the game play but you will not be able to change back.
I say Adventure Mode. If you got through UAKM and are versed in other adventure games you shouldn't have too many problems with PD. I don't remember it being THAT hard back in the day.
I always intended to play it again to try the different endings, but never did. I haven't yet replayed it since getting it again on GOG. And as mentioned, you should be able to go to Entertainment mode if you are getting frustrated. But in the event you only play the game once, like me, you should try for the full experience.

Besides, this is GOG (Good Old GAMES), not GOE (Good Old ENTERTAINMENT) ;-)
I currently have the same dilemma. Was about to start the game, when I was informed there are two different modes. Not having hints and having timed puzzles sounds potentially arduous, but missing out on locales and extra (story relevant) content seems annoying as well.

you certainly don'e miss out on any story content, I can only think of 2-3 puzzles that isn't in the the entertainment mode. I think starting out in entertainment is a good start . Pandora is a game that has a great replay & able to find new paths is a great feature.
