I have been enjoying Overseer from GOG on my Windows 7 (x64) desktop PC for a few weeks now.

However, I just got to the Nexus location and I can play for about 2-3 minutes at a time before the game freezes. I can still alt-tab and close then reload and keep playing, but it is quite annoying playing in these spurts and stops.

Haven't had any trouble with crashes prior to this moment and game has run absolutely smoothly.

I am running a custom-built rig with Nvidea 460GTXs in SLI mode and all other specs quite high.

Have you recently updated the Nvidia drivers to the latest 306.23 version? I'm asking because Overseer also started hanging for me recently and I suspect it might have something to do with the driver update.

I'm at a different location in the game, but it hangs where it used to work before and I have a similar computer setup (Win7x64, Nvidia 560GTX).

I had the same problem recently I had t o go back to a previous driver, also overseer does not like dual graphic cards you will need to disable one. However these problems usually appear at the beginning of the game.

Tried updating and rolling back vid drivers and turning off SLI.

No Dice.

However, I packed up by games and player record, deleted the game and then reinstalled. Works like a charm again. Go figure.
