I have the three main games on CD sets, and Windows 7 at home. Is it worth spending the money at GOG, or is getting them to run using DosBox not a hassle any more and does it work just as smoothly as the GOG install would?
I bought Martian Memorandum and Mean Streets many years ago, but I have not played the others yet. I think it was worth it because I saved $21 to get 'em all!

This is my very first purchase and I'm pretty happy so far! Can't wait to start downloading the games when I get home from work!!!

I had all the cd also but chose to buy them again, the gog version has dos box in the installer so it's only one install. At 60% you would be crazy not to buy them again.
Love the GOG downloader, that is too cool. (Finally have a use for Adobe Air. LOL!)

The fact that everything is so easy to do on this site makes it well worth the money. Also the time spent to download classic games that DO NOT have the CD requirement and bogus DRM viruses is a blessing in itself!
I've kept the old UAKM and Pandora discs around. Always with the intent over the last few years to drum up the confidence (and time) to get them to work in DOS box.

When GOG had a sale though for the Tex Murphy series, I jumped on it. Got both in digital form and man, I gotta say: GOG makes it just so EASY. Well worth another couple of bucks to have these digital versions of the games. Haven't installed Pandora yet but have gotten back in to UAKM again. Install was beautifully fast, easy, and the game started right up. I was grooving on the virtual engine again in no time, it works great. The fact you can take the games with you too (unlike a lot of digital game services) is just icing on the already delicious cake.

Agreed, the ability to fire this up in windows and have it run properly is a godsend for those who don't want to wade into the DOSBOX configs - you also can't beat the price when on sale.
The games were must haves for me. I haven't beaten UAKM or Pandora since they were brand new, and even with the low rez graphics I lurv me some Tex Murphy. The acting held up better than I thought, as well.
