Hi!

Looking at the Steam versions and they list Nightdive Studios as the publisher, and the videos have the NS logo at the front.
On the GOG versions I don't see any reference to NS.

Are the GOG vs Steam versions different? Are the Steam versions by Nightdive Studios and the GOG versions are not?

Thanks in advance as I try to decide which platform/versions to purchase!

I can't comment on the specific differences between the night dive (steam) and GOG versions, but I believe GOG pioneered getting the games up and running in DOSBox (as I ran them many years ago) prior to them showing up on steam.

The GOG releases (as I played them a couple of years ago) had no reference to night dive studios, nor does the game pages on the GOG site have any reference to night dive. My assumption is the night dive release is specific to steam - but I don't know what the specific differences are (if any). I only own the GOG releases, so I'd have to defer to others who own or have run the steam version.

All this said, the GOG releases have run great for me (in some cases with minor tinkering) - with the exception of Overseer which required checking the forum on best practices for how to get it running properly. They come up on sales pretty often so you can usually get them for pretty cheap, and of course DRM free.

Either way, showing value for these old gems is great and here is to hoping Big Finish Games keeps up on remasters or new games in the series.

Enjoy!
