I installed Tesla Effect, and the first time I played it, I noticed the intro Video sequence resolution was taller than my monitor (I'm playing with triple monitors, 5760x1080).

I went back to the main menu and played with the display options. I turned off full screen to see if playing in a window would at least display everything. The window ended up really tiny, and I pressed ALT-ENTER to get it back to full screen.

But now the SIDES of the main screen are completely cut off when I enter the game. I can click on the menu items, but then I can only see some of the middle portion of the options (i.e. I can see part of the description of the 2K resolution, and I can see the leftmost end of the sliders on the right.

I'm guessing I have to re-check full screen and change the resolution in the game? But the display is so screwed up that I can't even get there.

Is there a command line switch I can manually type in to force the game to a certain resolution??

I tried to uninstall and reinstall the game, but the old settings file must still be there, as the same problem persists after the reinstall.

HELP?? I waited so long for this game and now I can't play it!!

I ran into the same problem but with a slightly different variation. The screen was too flat (like watching something with black bars in 4:3 but stretched to 16:9). When I would go into options and change resolutions, I wouldn't see any difference. When I would switch to windowed mode, I would notice the game was still in 4:3 mode. What I did was turn off 2K video, then change resolution to min in window mode. After that, I would crank the resolution to max in full screen mode. The resolution seemed to fix itself (I could tell because the loading screen was now a circle instead of an oval). After that I turned 2K video back on and maxed out my graphics settings without issue.

Another problem I ran into was the options menu being off center and not being able to change any settings. This happened to me constantly before I fixed my issue above. All that I could really do was exit out and restart the game.

Enter your registry and go to
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BigFinishGames\TeslaEffect

now you should see the entry
Screenmanager Is Fullscreen mode_h3981298716

on the right side. Change the Value for this entry from 0 to 1.
