According to the BFG facebook page, beta codes via GOG have been released for The Tesla Effect. As I wasn't a beta level backer, I hope those that are can provide feedback!

I wonder how long i will have to wait for my Beta key, I backed at the $250 level, because of the beta access. i am getting anxious. I know I've waited this long a few hours shouldn't kill me.

all the codes have been released now, its only a chapter probably towards the end of the game .
I never got an email. no code, nothing. that's disappointing as i backed at the proper level. However knowing they are getting even closer ti finishing the game makes me happy.

check your junk email as it has been reported as going into junk email by mistake
Just played through the beta and really enjoyed it. However, it did feel a little uncomplete, in particular due to the limited number of item descriptions (the previous games had tons of these). I also sent off my feedback on the beta and hopefully they will address the issues that I identified.
Not sure if this is the correct place to post this issue or not.

I've been trying to get the beta to work on my systems since Saturday (just a black screen). One is a Win8.1 configuration, the other a Win7Pro. Updated video drivers, updated DX3D (including loading 9.0c on Win7 system). Just comes up, displays saving with a rotating disc, and then nothing.

Submitted an issue to the beta bug email address on Saturday afternoon. No response.

Anybody get past this?

Did you follow the instructions in the original e-mail?

download the direct x link in the email, it fixes the black & green screen. Its a developer download for direct x 9 its the only that works on win 8 .

Thanks... it worked. I was hesitant to load it on my Win8 platform as there is no direct download to the latest DX3D drivers in case something went wrong. I tried an MS 9.0c (looked like the same location when I used the provided link) on my win7 platform with no luck. I simply wasn't going to blindly start loading files... but it is always nice to hear when someone else had luck. Appreciate the feedback.

Cheers!
