Saw Terraria for Mac was available on Gog today and decided to download and try.
The download is marked as 1.3.0.8 (GoG-1).
Problem: Cannot start the game by double clicking the Terraria.app file.
Workaround: Seems to run great if instead of trying to double click I open a terminal and run it via the following command:
/Applications/Terraria.app/Contents/MacOS/GOGLauncher
I had previously run 1.2.0.something in a Mac Wrapper. This version definitely seems to run faster and I can finally use the map.
I'm running Mac OS 10.10.5, and I also tried this on Mac OS 10.10.4 earlier today. Same problem on both systems, same solution.
I really don't know mac systems, but this feels like a packaging problem since the game runs fine.
There's no errors in the terminal window when I try:
open /Applications/Terraria.app
also from the command line. It just silently dies.
Hope this helps someone else.
