Having a problem with the latest 1.3 version of Terraria, when I select higher widescreen resolutions like 1920x1080, the resolution doesn't change and remains at the default 800x600. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for answers.

Nevermind. Apparently there's a bug with fullscreen mode and you have to set the resolution in windowed mode first then switch back to fullscreen for the resolution change to work. Sorry for the unnecessary thread.

I have the exact same issue and what you suggested worked out, thanks.
Also why GOG didnt notify me about the update like it usually does, I had to find about this update through other site.
That's a shame I'm really disappointed from GOG.

Changing window mode didn't work for me but I found the config.json file and manually changed my resolution and apparently that worked.

Having this issue as well and so far that does not work... I think there is a patch coming out to fix the bugs

Edit: Ninjad by Nirth by about 12 hours. That is what I get for not reading the replies carefully. The instructions below describe how you can change your resolution until a patch fixes it.

1. Go into the C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\Documents\My Games\Terraria folder.

2. Open config.json with notepad or some other text editor. This file contains default values for different options.

3. Find the following two rows:
"DisplayWidth": 800,
"DisplayHeight": 600,

Replace the numbers with your desired resolution and save the file.

Hopefully you will now have changed your resolution. :D
