PetrusOctavianus: I too have problem with cutscenes not playing.
But it's easy to fix by first saving after each mission, then go to Mission Briefing. If mission briefing video is not playing, I just start the mission, abort it and reload, which fixes the problem.
Not an elegant fix, but it works.
This was already "fixed" by Rezorrand if you had read the thread. You check the "Keep Aspect Ratio" box in the DOSbox Config Tool and all videos play fine after that.

Well, using aspect=true didn't work for me.
Edit: All this below only fixed it for a single mission, then needed to reload. Now, I Alt+TAB before launching a video, and it starts playing when it wouldnt before, and i can Alt+Enter to re-enable full screen while the video is playing, works fine so far...

None of these steps worked for me (Direct3D and keep aspect ratio)

So tracked it down and now it's working by doing this (The shotgun approach)

- Open install directory in window explorer ( Example: E:\Games\GoG\Terra Nova - Strike Force Centauri\ )
- Open the DOSBOX folder inside
- Run DosBox.exe
- Type these commands below and then hit enter
- Type command: mount c ".."
- Type command: C:\
- Type command: mkdir tnova
- Type command: mkdir tnova\movie
- Type command: imgmount d cd\tnf108.cue -t iso
- Type command: copy d:\movie\*.* tnova\movie

All done, you can close that window now, and try launching the game regularly now

Essentially copies the movie files from the CD image to your hard drive. Cost of 463MB.

Bear in mind you may need the steps above in the post still, I have them checked so not sure

Those steps were

Windows Start Button -> DosBox Configuration
- Terra Nova Tab at top (may be the only one)
- Basic Settings
- Graphics mode: Direct3D
- Advanced Settings
- Keep Aspect Ratio: checked
