Hi,
I bought and installed the game but I'm finding that it is unplayable on my system:

AMD FX 8350
NVidia GTX1660 (latest driver)
16GB DDR3
ASUS M5A97 mobo
Windows 7 64-bit (pretty much up-to-date)
System HD is an SSD, although game is on a second spinning rust HD.

It starts fairly quickly, and the initial audio is good, and I see the opening video, but at the menu the audio is incredibly stuttery, and whatever it is doing seems to bring my machine to its knees. I can just about make out that it is the main Terminator theme, but only just.

CPU seems to be very excessive, in the 50-60% range for a game that shouldn't really be doing very much at this stage.

If I try to start the game, then it dies completely under what seems to be a complete CPU meltdown. The video is frozen and the audio again is extremely broken.

I've seen elsewhere (e.g. on the steam forums), that others with a similar spec (CPU/mobo) have no problems and it runs great. My hardware seems to be well within the recommendations.

Any ideas?

Cheers,
skelband

OK, I managed to get to the bottom of the problems I was having.
It was that piece of shit software GOG Galaxy absolutely hammering my hard drive.

Software is now gone now and it is most certainly not coming back. Terminator Resistance now runs great on pretty much maximum everything. Looks nice as well.

If all GOG Galaxy did was provide a nice interface for managing your games then I think it would be a great idea.
But I guess feature creep has gotten hold of the authors and they've lost their fuckin' minds.

Please, just don't go there.
