Why does Boosted Edition only get one save slot? The DOS version had 8 slots you could save to. And apparently because there's autosaving now, it will automatically overwrite any existing saves you have if you decide to start a new game. Please put the extra save slots back, there's no good reason not to have them.

Good news, the latest update fixed the save menu, you can use all 8 slots again. :)
