Hi guys
I meet all the system requirements, but, the game doesn't begin.

I click on it, and nothing..
Any help?
1. Where is it installed to?
2. Are you running as administrator?
3. Do you have antivirus?
4. If yes to 3, have you tried temporarily disabling it?
Default, yeah it runs as Admin as default and yeah, no change..
Edit :
Default Path
and yeah I've tried running as Admin, but it runs as default .

That does not answer my questions.

Rather than just make a new thread I'll step in here as I'm having the same problem.
1. Not C:, I have my OS on a SSD but keep my games and downloads on my old HDD.
2. Yes
3. Yes
4. Yes I have, no change sadly.

To describe exactly what happens: I boot the game up through the Co8 launcher (note that it did this before the Co8 was installed, I was hoping Co8 would fix it), the screen flashes black for a second, and then the program crashes without so much as a word.

Any ideas?

I've tried changing the resolution to 1280x720, no luck there.

I saw something on another post about the game not being friendly with newer Nvidia drivers, could this be the issue?

If so is there anything I can do? I can't roll my drivers back as this is a new card. Don't tell me GOG.com is Steam-level-broken on this specific title when it has it as the head of it's summer sale.

I run ToEE Co8 on Windows 7 64bit and latest (337.88) nVidia drivers, so that's not the issue. Do you have Java installed, and did you follow the installation intructions for the GOG version precisely (no patches etc.)?

Glad to hear that can't be the issue, as that would have been a pain to get around.

The only instructions I followed were:
Step 1: Install GOG version
Step 2: Install Co8 (nothing else)
Step 3: Run Co8 8.0.1 Patch

And that's it. Also I just double checked on Java but it looks like it's installed.

Edit: Okay, before I posted this I figured I'd try a full reinstall (plus gives me a good chance to make sure it's working before I do any patching, see if that was the issue) and it seems to be running fine.

I don't know how, but I think my CFG somehow got messed up during install, as when I edited it this time it looked totally different.

Anyway, thanks for the help, seems to be working now.

Update: And with the Co8 installed it's running all good. Still a little crash prone, but nothing repeatable. I have no idea what went wrong but glad to see one of the more simple solutions solved it.

Cool. Glad you're up and running. :)
