i'm a noob using 2 installs, 1 is vanilla and the other is temple+. how do you use potions? some of my guys are dying.


2, is the co8 mod worth it. it wants me to install java. does java install ok? what does co8 get me? can i open inventory and go from one member to another, or tediously exit. thanks.

you don't need TWO installs to play T+ while alternating with vanilla/Co8. T+ doesn't change/overwrite anything. It's a separate (and rather small) set of files (or maybe just a couple of executables, I don't remember). You could play T+ today and the vanilla .exe tomorrow.

why would one want this is beyond me.

java is only needed for Co8 LAUNCHER to function. Once it's served its purpose ("activated" the mod), you can purge java. The launcher obviously wouldn't function then.
I think it says so in various places, you don't need to be a guru to read English...

v much apprec osm. thanks for replying. feel like a fool because i read the posts and sorted out installation.

BUT I DON'T Know how healing potions are used and i'm stuck in a combat area with no exit. and i cant heal my guys despite healing potions and clerics. nothing works and nowhere does it say how to use potions except i gather only on yourself like other games. but do thy have to be equipped somehow? i don't get it. and my cleric says healing successful but my character does not gain hitpoints.

I don't remember tbh but I do know it was pretty straightforward. From the radial menu I guess.. Yes a potion can be drunk, just as an item may be used, through the radial menu activated by right-clicking on the character. It is even possible to drink unidentified potions if you are confident you already know what it is or just feeling lucky ….
