Everyone hates me on this forum and its my fault. (it really is). That's not important. I want to solo this game and I have some experience with that. I soloed Avernum The Pit and Geneforge 1 and 2.. I want to solo the game with a fighter class like the ranger. Is it possible to take a ranger with melee weapons through the game solo. What feats should I use and should I just buff out the kazoo. Im thinking that saves will play a good role. Im gonna focus on strength.

Nothing is impossible, but with ToEE it'll be quite a challenge, to an extend, I'm not sure it'll still be fun. Combat is where the game shines, it's tactical and can be hard, even with a group - a solo run could become frustrating.

Unfortunately I can't give you a good advice on the character build, because it has been a while since I played this and I don't remember all the details. Maybe someone else does.
The beginning is super boring and a solo character pretty much has to do all of the fetching quests available.
The good thing is, all XP is divided amongst the party, so a solo character gets 5x as much as someone in a party of 5.

Favored enemy should probably be.. what was the one.. what are demons?
There's plenty of undead and goblinoids and orcs and such, but those are not the super difficult fights.

Skip weapon focus and just use the best weapon currently available.
There are couple of real good weapons out there, but getting that far would be a challenge.

Alrighty! I just soloed Icewind Dale 1 over the whole day today with a druid that wields a scimitar and flanks enemies using magic spells occasionally. Will that tactic work work in this game?

The big things in ToEE are reach weapons, like spiked chain or glaive, and attacks of opportunity. combat reflexes is great. And crafting your own weapons, but that requires a feat and a spellcaster.
