I launch Co8 New Content (latest version) via Temple+ (latest version), start a new game, neutral good, choose a party, go shopping and enter the portal. My party kills the thief - and then nothing (looting the thief is possible). The dialogue taking the party to Hommlet doesn't trigger.
When I launch Co8 directly, same party, everything is fine.
Is there a way to get to Hommlet in Temple+?
It may work with a different party alignment, and I might try an older version of Temple+ (if I remember correctly, it worked 2 years ago), but I'd prefer a proper solution.
Update: Just tried it with Temple+ 1.049 (from 2017) - and it works. This proves, that there is something wrong with 1.077.
Update 2: I found Temple+ 1.056, and it works just like 1.049. I used it to get my party to Hommlet: I loaded a savegame, created when running 1.077, in 1.056, defeated the thief and was transported duly to Hommlet, saved the game, re-installed 1.077 and loaded the savegame successfully. I'll see whether or not the version change will produce a problem later.
Then I started a new game with a party of 5 - and, surprise, this party made it to Hommlet in a 1.077 game! My original party has 8 characters. This seems to indicate that 1.077, but not 1.56, treats 8 (perhaps more than 5 in general) characters differently.
Does anyone have an explanation?
Update 3: Temple+ 1.077 displays the same behaviour when I'm using a party of 6: the dialogue taking the party to Hommlet doesn't trigger after the fight with the thief, and the same happens (or rather: doesn't happen) when I replace the party size parameter 'flexible' by 6, 7 or 8.
