Hi everyone. I just bought this game and I'm wondering if its more trouble than it's worth. I'm trying to get started, but every time I try to use the character creation menus, there are obnoxious lines across my screen (see attached). I'm running the game with the latest version of the Co8 NC mod. I'm just using an Intel Integrated Graphics card in case that is relevant.

Have the same problem on my laptop with Intel integrated graphics and Win7 x64. Co8 version 7.4.1 NC

I assume you're both using the GOG version and not from a CD or elsewhere?
Have you applied any patches or mods other then Co8?
Did you follow all the settings instructions from the Co8 installation page?
What resolution are you playing at?

Any resolution on this issue? I am suffering the same problem. I am not running any mods.

Not sure, but you might need to down-grade to an older Nvidia driver. Also, the highest resolution reliably supported by ToEE is 1680 x 1050.

Well so far I have followed all the basic steps here ( http://www.gog.com/support/the_temple_of_elemental_evil/ibread_first_pc_windowsb_common_troubleshooting_stepsi ) and I have added Co8 mod that has the fix. I have tried setting resolution down to 800 x 600 just to see. Nothing has worked.

This is where I learned about the Nvidia thing here. But it sounds like the game is running for you, it is just a graphics problem. Maybe try adjusting anti-aliasing or dither or other settings on your graphics card.

You might try posting at the Co8 website, since they probably know more about the game than anyone at this point.

You might also just try using the stock characters that come with the game instead of creating your own to see if you can create a party and launch.
