I've been playing for a while now, and my party just got to level 6. My sorcerer could still not learn anything better than level 1 spells though, which seemed odd to me. I read the manual which told me that she should be able to cast level 3 spells by know. It also told me that I'm an idiot who gives my sorcerer a charisma of 11...

So, I found out that you could use the console to set stats, and tried to raise my sorcerers charisma a bit so that she could contribute a bit more than an occasional magic missile. This allowed her to choose a level 3 spell when leveling up, but no level 2 spells that she should have been able to choose on earlier level-ups.

Does anyone know if there is some way to "reset" my sorcerer, so that she can learn those level 2 spells she's been missing? I tried removing all experience and giving it back again through the console, but that didn't work. My sorcerer shouldn't be penalized just because I can't read the manual properly, so if anyone has any ideas on how to fix this I would be very grateful,
I think you get to pick a certain amount of spells every time you level up, so raising charisma at lvl 6 will not grant you the spells from previous level ups.

One way you might be able to fix it if you delete your sorcerer from your party, and then add him/her again as a lvl 1 character. Then use console commands to grant the levels again. I haven't tried this myself, but I've noticed you can reform your party when visiting the inn in Homlet (there is a book on the bar counter that grants you access to the party selection screen).
Thank you very much! I looked for an option to reform my party, but didn't think about looking for an option in-game (it's of course in the manual, but who reads the manual :P). The game didn't allow me to add the removed character back though, so I had to create a new character. But that's at least easier than changing random bits in the save file and hoping for a miracle.
