Cattletech: Hi, glad you're enjoying the mod.

As for the movies, are you talking about the slideshow after you click on the shopmap portal?
Yeah, the one that's narrated and gives a history of what happened with the rise of Evil at the ToEE ten years previously. I said movie, but meant the slideshow, my apologies. It's not just that one though: it's every one that's shown when you first transition to a new area - Emridy Fields, the Moathouse, etc. I think it's on the order of 30 seconds to 1 minute - and that's between each 'page'. If I remember, I'll time the next one and let you know.

It's no big deal now, because I'm aware of the delay and just ride it out, but at first I thought the game had locked up, so was pushing ESC, Enter, or whatever else I could think of to try to skip to the next. But it ended up going in a loop and starting back to the beginning, so I eventually just waited to see what would happen.

Cattletech: I always fast forward that one by pressing space.
D'oh! Of course, this is the one thing I didn't think of...

avatar
Cattletech: Also if you have other niggles to report please do so.
Nothing else for me to this point, although I've only just finished the Moathouse. Really impressed with your work so far though! :)
On windows 10 64 bit, the spacebar does not work initially. What does work is clicking the windows key, which makes the game "tab out" to desktop, then clicking the mouse on screen. it then bypasses to the "shop" area. From there, after warping to the first quest start (which of course changes depending on char/ etc.), the cutscenes get locked up again, and you have to tab out, click, then hit spacebar. Not sure why this is happpening on my machine, but I have had problems with other games since windows 10 updated recently. Other games= freezing mouse pointers, lagging, crashing etc.
Okay, ran into an odd issue over the weekend:

spoilers

Upon returning from the Temple the first time and entering Nulb, Otis leaves the party. At least, that's what he's supposed to do. He didn't. But he did turn invisible though. After travelling to Hommlet the game would crash (TOEE.exe has stopped working) when I tried to travel anywhere else (Nulb, Emridy Fields, Temple, wherever). Unfortunately, I hadn't noticed that Otis was invisible and still in the party until I arrived at Hommlet and had saved the game there.

I tried removing him from the party, but nothing I tried would work, as I couldn't interact with him in any way.

So I ended up googling to see if I could find a fix. The only thing I found even remotely resembling this issue was one of the common problems posted on the Co8 forums that suggested using the console to remove an NPC from the party when they turned invis and couldn't be interacted with. No dice. The console command would not remove him from the party.

I did find a mention of turning anti-aliasing to 'false' in the .ini file, so tried that. Still no dice. So I deleted that save file and started again from the save from before I went to Nulb after the temple (basically replaying a couple hours of the game).

When I got to the point of returning to Nulb after entering the temple, Otis still did not leave the party.*** And I couldn't boot him. But at least he didn't turn invisible this time.

So what I did was travel the world map (no crashes this time) and during a random encounter, I let him get killed. I was then able to remove him and everything proceeded as normal so far. I played another hour or so after that with seemingly no ill effects.

Anyway, just thought I'd mention this for posterity even though it's resolved for the present.

***It occurs to me now: is there a setting in the Front End or in Temple+ that makes Otis stay? If so, maybe that's wreaking havoc with the scripted event of him leaving the party and causing this issue?

Regarding the movie/slideshow issue - I was unable to reproduce this behavior, when I tested the timing was just fine and hitting any key (except ESP actually :P) moved the slides forward.

Can you detail what Temple+ configuration options and hardware you are using?

Hi, I could not reproduce this issue - can you post a savegame from before Otis tries to leave?
Whatever it is, I don't think it has anything to do with particular TFE-X or Temple+ settings.

Ah, unfortunately, those earlier saves are long gone, sorry. I've since started a brand new party, but am happy to report that Otis behaved as expected in this run.

Alright. In the future, if you run into anything weird, posting a savegame available is immensely useful, because some bugs are triggered by very specific circumstances which are nearly impossible to guess.

Aye, I'll keep it in mind. Cheers. :)
I´ve noticed that in the last versions of temple + the animation in the main menu has dissapeared.
All the ambience is gone!!! I stopped playing!

No, seriously. It´s just a little glitch that should be corrected, shouldn´t it? :)

Waiting anxiously for the new GUI and some kind of zoom option. In not so high resolutions the models, text and GUI is too small. It is better played in original resolutions for now.

Greetings

Hi, can you detail your hatdware setup, OS and what configuration options you are using?

Oh sorry for the delay.

I am using Windows 10 64 bits / ATI Radeon HD6470M 1GB / 4GB RAM

I use normally 1024x600 res ingame but the movie does not launch (Only sound) nor windowed or fullscreen or in my native resolution 1366x768.

I hope it was useful, Thanks for the reply and, again, sorry for the delay!
Oh, and I forgot, I am using temple plus with co8 installed but not applied. Of couse I run Temple+ from the temple + exe

Greetings
Just wanted to thank you again for your work. I've begun playing through the game with CO8 and Temple+ some time ago already, and it's been a much smoother experience than the last time I tried it. At least I haven't really encountered any game-breaking bugs like I did back then.

However, I have just recently begun to see a bug with the spell "Rigteous Might" (Cleric, 5th grade). It enhances a character's size and thus his or her threat range, but sometimes when it expires, the character's size returns to normal, but the threat range remains as if he was still enlarged. So far this has only been happening with my Dwarven cleric, but the human one I also have in my party. Maybe you could look into that issue.

Can you send me a savegame from when this happened?

Unfortunately, I don't seem to have any saves with this happening as I always reloaded when I noticed this, and so far it hasn't happened again. But I'll make sure to make a save the next time I see it.

Found the issue, fixed for next version.
