Greetings everyone,

I have an awkward issue with ToEE. I installed it yesterday but pressing the F12 key for quicksave or pressing ESC for normal saves was taking a very long time.

The weird thing is, I use a laptop that dual-boots Windows 7 and Linux Mint. I installed ToEE on Windows 7 and ESC key response time is 8 seconds. However, when I booted Linux Mint and ran the same installed folder via WINE, it runs very smooth, a lot smoother than Win7.

Game is not installed in the Program Files folder.

After trying regular workarounds like disabling Virus program and trying the compatibility modes, I came across a mod called Circle of Eight Modpack. I installed it which turned the 1 GB game into 5 GBs, yet the problem got even worse. Now the ESC key responds 15 seconds at least. Also, the game lags terribly.

Any suggestion is appreciated. Also, if someone knows how to make ToEE run full screen on Linux WINE, please let me know.
The game is unplayable on my Win7 currently. Entering or leaving a house takes up to 20 seconds. However, I can play it flawlessly on Linux. I simply run it in window mode. There is something weird that I can't quite put my finger on it since I never played the game long before.
Sounds like it's having a tough time with file operations for some reason.
