How do I set a party leader? like in BG that the party leader always do the talking, it seems in this game the closest party member to the npc I want to talk to is selected

I don't think you can, you have to select only the person you want to do the talking and tell them to talk.

If you right click on the NPC you want to talk to, the party leader menu will open automatically and you can select "Talk" from it
