McAfee shows a trojan in TOEE. I assume it's a false alarm, but is there any way to verify it actually is a false alarm?
Not a definitive answer, but I gave up using Mcafee because I got fed up with all the false positives.
If you use the circle of 8 modpack, Mcafee also reports this as infected.

change your real time scanning settings un check the box next to the scan for virus patterns and also make sure you have the latest DxDiag no need to mess with compatibility I got as far as create character page then quit game to test again and it worked for me. it is a definite false alert that is causing the problem because the Artemis is following the pattern of a trojan but it is not a virus or trojan according to McAfee virus/trojan search.

It was confirmed by GOG in another thread it's a false positive.
The ancients of Greece and Rome believed in many gods and goddesses. They are composed of short stories called myths about each of them. When people do not understand something, they consist of a myth to explain it. These stories also said the specific powers of gods and goddesses were held to help or harm others are happy. They thought it was a very careful not to hate these pagan gods. Artemis, as the Greeks called him, wild animals roamed the woods, and a band of fellow women. They are also related to Artemis, the moon and said, could be seen with the crescent or new moon. His twin was a god, Apollo. The Romans knew him by another name, Diana, and her fertility. The Greeks built a temple in her honor and a statue of him in a homeless internal colonnade. The temple in white marble and shimmering gold. It 'was so great that it called "skyrocketed.

Yes send the file and a description of the file to virus_research@avertlabs.com
Tell them that this is not a virus.
Some times the automated response will pick it up and incorrectly interpret it as you thinking that it is an undetected virus and you will need to reply and tell them that it is not a virus.
Artemis stabs computer in the back. "Thats what happens when you dont tell me where my little elf friend is."
