Not exactly sure how to do this.

I downloaded the mod from the moddb.com link on the co8.org website.

I clicked save when I downloaded it.

It is downloaded however when I click it, it prompts me to open an app for this program. What the heck 'app' am I suppose to use to install this addon? I can not find anything on the forums about similar issues. I've tried downloading numerous times, same effect. Not sure what to do here. I hate windows 8 with a passion.

[edit] So I finally figured it out but now have a new issue. When I click the shortcut for Co8 it says "Could not detect a compatible version of Temple of Elemental Evil in the current folder". Not sure why it is saying this.

The installer is at one point asking you where you have installed ToEE.
You're supposed to navigate to ToEE folder and only then hit install.

Don't forget to have a JRE of at least v1.7 installed ...
Could you advise how you solved the original problem? I too dont understand why it needs an "app" to open it and cant move on front that point. Windows 8...yay.

When I downloaded the pack from ModDB, it didn't have an extension so I manually set it to ".exe". Make sure you have Explorer -> View -> File Name Extensions enabled to see if that is the case.
