Hello.

I tried to open a locked door with a rogue.

As you can see the picture I've linked above, my Rogue character's Open Lock skill is 10, it has a thieves' tool, and most of all it's DEX is 22.

Is it not possible to open a locked door with a Rogue? Or did I do something wrong?

The lock you are attempting to pick is probably above the skill of your Rogue, hence his/her inability to pick it. You'll either need to greatly enhance his/her skill through items and/or level up several levels and try again.

Depending upon the locked door/chest, you could also attempt to force it open with a character with really high strength, but again, you'll have to successfully "roll" to force it open.

You could also come back and try the Knock spell if you have a Wiz/Sor who can cast it, or a Bard or any other character who is high enough level to have the Knock spell.

Since I just started playing ToEE again after a long hiatus away and if memory serves me correctly, there are locked doors that you cannot pick regardless of level.

You do know that you have to manually "pick" the lock? I.e., make the rogue your active character, then right-click the lock and select "Open Lock" in the circle-menu. (I didn't watch the video)
