I can no longer load my games in ToEE with the Co8 mod pack, it just crashes to desktop. If I delete my savegame folder and start up the game, it enters the "Load Game" screen just fine. Its not just one save file, none of them are accessible from the menu. Any ideas on what's going on?
Will I basically have to start over again?
I'm almost at level 10 so that would well and truly suck...

There's a savegame corruption if you use quick- or autosave, but at least for me it didn't crash to desktop even then (the end result was the same though). If this is something else then I have no idea, and if it's this then I still don't know any way to fix the saves.

I read about the autosave and quicksave bugs so I haven't used any of them. The game and the saves were fine last night but aren't working any longer.
Its not the end of the world if I have to start over but its still pretty damn annoying...

I've pretty much given up on this game, sad for me to say. I REALLY like it but it's been SO BUGGY from the very beginning on CD and even GOG can't seem to save it for me. I played through level 3 with a party: corrupted save files. Learn about the "no quick or auto save" rule. Play again through level 5: corrupted save files again. I hate Homlet. As much as I want to play through this game I just can't bring myself to waste another x amount of hours getting through Homlet and to eventually lose my game because of some unforeseen issue. GOG was my last stab at a great but flawed game. Sigh.

Seems I´m a lucky one.

I´m at the 4th floor in the temple and used quick-save all the time excessive, before I heard about the qicksave desaster.
