I decided to start a new game because I haven't played in a very long time. After my halfing Bard drowned or something, we started a fight wading in water but she was down instantly, I decided to start again and since I didn't have a cleric I decided to replace the bard with one. But for some reason even though she has +3 bonuses in both Int and Wis I wasn't allowed to select spells for her during chargen like I could with wizards or sorcerers.

Was that supposed to happen and if not any ideas what I did wrong?

Clerics have mostly unrestricted access to spells.
You don't have a limited selection you need to choose.
When you get into the game, select spells and rest to activate them.
Ahh This is pretty much the D&D rules set I have the least experience with. Thanks.
