ok I just installed and was doing the tutorial. when you get the 2nd person in your party I have her memorize the spells just like the tutorial says to do. next we make it to the next room where the tutorial says I should use Magic Missle against the zombies. WELL......there is NO "cast spell" selection in her radial menu!! the spells are memorized, but according to the tutorial there is supposed to be a selection in her radial menu to cast the spell...but there's nothing there!

You'll need to rest after memorizing a spell in order for the spell to be available for casting.

To cast a spell:
1. Go to the spell tab and select which spells you want to use.
2. Rest. This will make your character memorize the spells you selected in step 1
3. Wake up. Your memorized spells are now available to you
4. Cast the spells you memorized. You can cast a spell once for each time you memorized it.

The game will remember which spells you memorized so if you're happy with your spell selection you only have to rest again after using them. This means you won't have to select them again every time you rest to refresh them after using them.

The sorcerer works slightly different. A sorcerer has a limit for each spell level. This means a sorcerer can cast a limited number of spells from each spell level. A sorcerer can cast any spell he knows until he reaches his limit for that spell level. Resting resets this. For example: A level 1 sorcerer with a charisma score between 12 and 19 know 2 level 1 spells and has a limit of 4 level 1 spells per day. This means the sorcerer can cast a total of 4 level 1 spells before he needs to rest but this can be any combination of the 2 spells he knows.

Had the same problem, kept on trying. I think if you rest for the spells but no one is injured and you choose rest until healed it skips enough rest to give you memorized spells. One time i had an injury and the rest gave me memorized spells. Another time I had no injury but instead of choosing rest until heal, i just said rest and got the memorized spells.

Not sure if you realize you're replying to a 5 year old post, but just to clear something up:

you must rest for a minimum of 8 hours in order to memorize/replenish spells (whether you're injured or not makes no difference to your ability to memorize your spells).

'Rest until healed' generally takes much longer (because the natural healing rate is so slow), but could possibly be a shorter time span.

When you hit the tent icon, you can choose how long to rest - either toggle the days, the hours, or both (at the top of the window), or use the checkbox to choose 'rest until evening', 'rest until morning', or 'rest until healed'.
