I'm rolling a character that specializes in polearms. What Weapon Focus should I get?

basicly, the best weapons are the ones you craft. There is a holy ranseur to be found so you might take that into consideration if you dont have a cleric capable of crafting holy weapons in party.

So I guess, aside from crafting, it doesn't really matter what weapons I pick up then.

there are some unique pieces that cant be reproduced by crafting but not polearms. Bear in mind u need masterwork or magical weapon for further crafting. Afaik there is masterwork glaive, masterwork and magic ranseur and, if u have Co8, also masterwork longspear. All those you can craft. Not sure about guisarme... If you care about the reach, there is also masterwork/magic spiked chain. Apart from that, there are slight differencies between individual polearm cathegories, Longspear doesnt need martial weapons proficiency but does less average damage than ranseur/glaive/guisarme that do need martial. Spike chain is the only weapon that can be used with finesse so it all boils down to who will be the weilder.
