This error happens because for some reason the game cannot start in fullscreen.


Solution: Click on the button right to "Play" then "additional executeables" and click on "Configuration Tool".
Finally click on the box "Run in a window instead of full-screen" and the game runs without problems.

Hi i got the same error message but switching to windowed mode not solving the issue. Still same error message.

OK problem sorted. Additional executables -->settings -->driver section you can choose the driver. Default for me was OpenGL and game couldnt start. Choose Direct3D 9 or SDL 2D and game starting with no issues even with full screen.
