So this has been a recurring problem with me and "Tales of Maj'Eyal" on my computer. Every time I start it up, it always resets my color display.
I'm still not sure what is causing it, but when I built my computer, the color display has always been off. White spots appear too white that are blinding out other colors, while black spots are too dark. Its very noticeable when watching Youtube videos. I got around this issue by calibrating the color display in windows. In start, type "Calibrate Color Display" and it gives you a wizard for adjusting the display to your monitor along with adjusting the color. I used this and was able to get the color layout fine for my computer.
However, ToME keeps resetting this setup each time the game starts and when it has focus (i.e. if I start up "Calibrate Color Display", reset it back to normal settings, and then go back to ToME while running -- it will reset the settings back to the odd color setup). I still don't know what could be causing this issue, whether it is my graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750), or the fact that I'm running a VGA monitor through the graphics card (It only has HDMI ports and I have to use a VGA to HDMI converter to get a signal).
I can play the game. But I would need to reset my color settings after each session. Is there some way of preventing ToME from changing my settings? Is this a bug?
