When will we get it? On Steam it is already that, how long do we have to wait? Tell me, please.
Yep, we are already two versions back.
We've been waiting for a long time, I've been wondering myself.

This is so not like GOG, usually we get the updates going not long after they're released by darkgod in the main site. Best I can tell you is that you can use your codes on the main site and then download the latest from there in the meantime. It'll be the same exact game minus it not being in Galaxy (and perhaps even a happier time on the OSX side. You don't need to deal with the DLC folder in this case, but you still need to dump DLC into the addons folder).

I'm very unhappy, but this is what I expected when I read about the classic installers… they are wasting time doing stupid things when they've always been struggling and barely managed to do the important stuff.

ToME's the only thing I've seen this issue with (I'd say Zombasite, but the game itself came out later too so why not the expansion), but then again I mostly buy games that are already fully updated here. I can't really tell you if this has been a product of shifted priorities or not.

Not even the galaxy version is updated. Anyway, the game is always updatable through the luncher if this delays persist.

It's an extremely common problem with GOG, they don't update games on time. Or at all. This War of Mine is one more example.
They're usually pretty punctual with Tales of Maj'Eyal, so something might have gone wrong somewhere.
Still not updated. Thank you, GOG.

I looked for this last night in the ToME launcher and couldn't find how to update the game engine, only the add-ons. Can you explain how to force it?

Currently the DLCs and the core-game sold by GOG as being no-internet-connection-required are at version 1.5.3 (and also currently discounted in the Summer Sale).

If you temporarily want to lose the no-internet-connection-required feature in return for having access to version 1.5.5 right now, then you do have the option of downloading the open-source release from the developer's website direct. [1]

Here is the developer's statement in their FAQ: "Does it matter where I buy the game? No it does not, … If you buy the game on GOG you can get it on te4.org" [2]

My understanding is that the only difference between GOG's version and the developer's binaries is that GOG's is being sold with the guarantee of "No activation or online connection required to play." and is modified to be compatible with this guarantee. If neither of these features are important to you, then the developer is currently providing open-source access to the 1.5.5 release where paid features and paid DLCs are accessible when activated online and played with an online connection.

Some news at last.

I've asked DarkGod on IRC and got the answer: "(…), ah yes I'll fix that soon(tm)"

Launch "t-engine-launcher.exe" from TOME main directory. This is the official launcher, just click the patch button. The only inconvenience, the launcher will probably have to download all the updates since version 1.0 to the last update so it will take a while, but once done you are good to go.

Last time I did this, Galaxy would detect a change and start "updating" to the old version absolutely ruining my setup. It would be advised to turn auto updating to off for ToME before you do this, provided you're running Galaxy.
