Didn't your grandma teach you:
"Don't look a gift horse in the mouth!"?
Well, sorry for the stupid reply. I tried to dig up some info, you know, developers, writers, people involved. but I'm way too lazy. The only thing I can come up with is that both games have a very similar premise, to say the least. Interact with the AI if you want to discover and cope with what happened to and in the derelict space structure.
If that's really the rationale behind the bundle, you could as well have gotten Christine Love's "Analogue" (if it were on GOG's catalog) or "System Shock 2" (which I wuoldn' have liked, since I already own at least three separate instances of that masterpiece), or even Douglas Adams' "Starship Titanic".
But if there are other commercial underpinning beneath the reason for this bundle, that I can't say.
