I'm getting this error when trying to launch System Shock 2. It occurs right after User Account Control pops up with the message to allow this program to run. I'm using Windows 7, fully updated. Any ideas?

That file should be in the main System Shock II folder. If it's there and you're getting this error, did you install to some other folder than the default? If not, does renaming the file to something else (IE: d3dx9_43.dll.test ) bypass the problem? (It could be conflicting with another version of the file elsewhere on the system.)
best thing would be to download and install the full DX9 redist from microsoft.
