I installed the game yesterday and played two sessions. All in all about 6 hours without any issues.
One day later, and I can't start it. The game will show the following error:

LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 729]
BulkData compressed header read error. This package may be corrupt!

I used GOG game integrity check. No issues.
I reinstalled the game.

Nothing helps.

Hi,

It's caused by corrupted save game.
Now the question is, which one is corrupter ;)
Backup all saves somewhere and start from the most recent save.
If save file is corrupted you will get that message.

2nd step if game starts fine, try to load that save. If it works continue to another save file (if needed)
@kominikx: A very big thank you from me. That solved the problem.
You rock :)

Appreciate the help but why would you not tell anyone where tf the save files are at?

I can play for about 3 minutes before:

---------------------------
The UE4-SystemShock Game has crashed and will close
---------------------------
LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 198]
Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. (Error: 0x887A0006 - 'HUNG')

---------------------------
OK
---------------------------

EDIT: I deleted %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Nightdive Studios\SystemShock\Saved\SaveGames\ and it apparently fixed the issue. Which makes NO SENSE as this was my first game -- there were no previous save games...

EDIT2: I played the game for several hours, no issues. Rebooted the system today, opened the game -- same freeze in minutes. How will I be able to play a saved game if I must delete it first?

EDIT3: Crashed again. I had to delete the Nightdive Studios folder again and GoG I'm guessing, restored the save game files and I was able to play without a crash. Such a strange bug, Nightdive...
