Sometimes the "a"-key changes its function. It switches to change weapons. I haven't found out what is causing this - i did not alter the ini/control.cfg(still set to: bind a rs.yawleft) so it should move me to the left. Restarting does not solve the issue as this change is saved with the savegame.

Some Problems with the sshock.ini:
Vertical Sync options seem to be not "On" and "Off" but "Yes" and "No".
When i set a custom resolution (in this case 1280x720) the change seems to be permanent. When i set a new custom resolution(back to 854x480) it did not use that but only the first change i did.

Hi, just bought the SS enhanced edition, and the game crashes 5-10 seconds after launch. I only get to see the credits and intro starts rolling, then crash (program has stopped responding, windows had to terminate). Running on W7 machine. Anyone else had this issue? would love to play this...

Same issue on Windows 8. I start to input a name on the New Game/Difficulty Select screen and the game crashes on the first letter typed. No problems with the classic version.

And will ya look at that, I think I found a fix: go to the game's folder and open the sshock.ini file. Change FullscreenMode=Desktop to FullscreenMode=Full and voilà! Everything's working fine so far.

Thanks, tried that, but still I get the same error - Program System Shock has stopped responding...crash to desktop...

My SS1 Enhanced installation also crashes immediately when I type on the keyboard. Win 7 here. (The crash calls up a Visual Studio debugger?)

After some intial crashes right after showing the logos, the game seems to run just fine now when you start it in compatibility mode (win 10 -> XP SP3). I also unplugged my game pad to avoid problems with the joystick support.

edit the ini file in the game folder and try enabling the windowed mode.

And now it seems I'm having the same problem as ADorante, despite the previous .ini finagling. Sigh...

Same issue here, I'm in win7 and everything works fine until I press a key on the keyboard, then crash to desktop
