So I've pretty much cleared the 1st level. I've come to a red bridge and as soon as I step on it, it collapses. Then Shodan announces that I'm not welcome. There's a lift that's disable and down the hall, two force fields. You can open the first, but not the second. The next room has a humanoid in it and probably a way to enable the lift.

very easy solution, not real life intuitive.

you enter the little square room cubicle, click the switch button and gain access to the room with camera, mutant, and light bridge solution.

to make the simulation more realistic the red force wall should have gone up and down after a few seconds...

there is no way in the real world that you can move your arm toward a switch, use it, and a wall pops up immediately, it would cut the arm.

Thanks for the speedy response, the problem is I'm on the other side of the bridge. Also down in the shuttle bay there is a locked door that would give me access to the other side.

I'm not sure where you're seeing a shuttle bay, but here is the solution to that. (at 46:10) https://youtu.be/M7x_UC8qG6w?t=2770
Thanks all for the solution. A picture is worth a thousand words
