This might seem as a rather pointless idea but I do want know.
Can I make corpses stay so I manage to loot them before they vanish?

You can usually loot a corpse before they even hit the ground. Corpses take at least a minute to disappear. What's taking you so long?

Yes I know that. But when battling hordes of hybrids and monkeys some corpses may vanish.

It might be moddable, though. After all, there are many permacorpses in the game world, including some of the monsters.

nope, it does not work that way - right now, you simply have to loot the bodies before they vanish.
